Hooter.in is operated by Webest Technologies Private Limited. This policy explains when and how you can get a refund across the payments we collect — used car listing fees, booking tokens, and dealer (Partner app) subscriptions. We've kept it specific and in plain English. All prices are in INR and include applicable taxes.
Used car listing fees
When you pay to list or promote your car through Sell Your Car, the fee covers publishing your listing and giving it visibility to buyers for the package duration.
- Full refund before it goes live. If you cancel a paid listing before it is published, you get a full refund.
- Non-refundable once live. Once your listing is published, the fee is non-refundable — the service (exposure to buyers) is being delivered from that point onward.
- Failed publish is auto-reversed. If a paid listing fails to publish due to a technical error on our side, the charge is credited back automatically — you don't need to ask.
- Wrong charge? If you were charged but your listing was never published, write to us within 7 days with the payment reference and we'll reverse it.
- The number of enquiries or leads is not guaranteed. A slow response from buyers is not grounds for a refund.
Booking token
A booking token is paid to reserve a specific vehicle while you complete your purchase decision. Hooter is a marketplace and is not a party to the sale between the buyer and the seller.
- Refund if the deal falls through on the seller's side. You get a full refund if the seller or dealer cancels, the vehicle turns out to be unavailable, or it was materially misrepresented versus the listing.
- Free cancellation within 24 hours. If you cancel within 24 hours of paying the token — and the vehicle has not yet been inspected or handed over — you get a full refund.
- After 24 hours. A cancellation may be subject to a deduction, since the vehicle is held off-market and reserved for you.
- On a completed purchase, the token is adjusted against the final vehicle price and is not separately refundable.
- Approved token refunds go to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Dealer subscription (Partner app)
Dealers pay a subscription to access the Hooter Partner app, where buyer leads are pushed to them. Subscriptions are billed for a fixed term (monthly, quarterly, or annual) as shown at checkout.
- Full refund before activation. If you cancel before your subscription is activated and before any leads have been shared, you get a full refund.
- Non-refundable once active. Once the subscription is active and leads have been made available, the fee is non-refundable — the service (lead access) is delivered continuously over the term.
- No refund for unused leads, partial periods, or early cancellation. Your access continues until the end of the paid term.
- Lead volume is not guaranteed and varies with buyer demand in your area. Lower-than-expected volume is not grounds for a refund.
- If the Partner app is unavailable for an extended period due to a fault on our side, we will extend your subscription or credit the affected days.
Payment failures & double charges
If money was deducted but the listing, booking, or subscription did not complete, or you were charged twice, the failed or duplicate amount is refunded automatically by the payment gateway, typically within 5–7 business days. If it doesn't appear, send us the payment reference and we'll chase it with the gateway.
How to request a refund
- Email support@hooter.in from your registered email/phone, with the listing ID, booking reference, or payment reference.

- We acknowledge refund requests within 2 business days and resolve eligible ones within 5–7 business days.
- Approved refunds go to your original payment method.
