Mini launched the updated Countryman in India on 4 March, 2021. The model is available in two variants known as Cooper S and Cooper S JCW Inspired. Produced at the BMW facility in Chennai, the new Countryman is available in six dual-tone colour options.
Powertrain options on the new Mini Countryman are limited to a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 189bhp and 280Nm of torque. A seven-speed DCT unit is standard while a seven-speed DCT sport unit is offered with the special edition version. Also on offer are two drive modes that include Sport and Green.
Exterior highlights of the 2021 Mini Countryman include a black mesh grille, LED-powered circular headlamps, fog lights, a contrast black roof, silver roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights with the Union Jack design, a revised rear bumper, and an integrated spoiler.
Inside, the Mini Countryman comes equipped with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a centre arm-rest for the second row, and dual-zone climate control. The JCW variant gets additional goodies in the form of wireless charging, an HUD, and adjustable rear seats.
