Maserati Ghibli Summary

When was the Maserati Ghibli launched?

Maserati launched the updated Ghibli hybrid in India on 3 December, 2021.

What variants does the Ghibli get?

The Maserati Ghibli is a four-door sedan available in India in three versions – GT Hybrid, Modena S, and Trofeo.

What features are available in the Ghibli?

Being a Maserati, the Ghibli has a host of configurable and personalisation options. On the outside, it features adaptive full-LED headlights with glare-free ‘matrix high-beam’. The cabin gets configurable options for the upholstery, including stitching and headliner material, wheels, and even the paint scheme. For the GT trim, the range gets chrome inserts, new 19-inch alloy wheels, and leather seats with a dark mirror trim.

Meanwhile, the Modena trim gets aggressive bumpers and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it offers sporty wraparound leather seats and black piano trim interiors. Also, the Modena S trim features the Nerissimo pack and red brake callipers. For the Trofeo, the Ghibli stands out with its carbon-fibre inserts and large 21-inch wheels hiding the red-brake callipers. Its interior is swathed in full-grain pieno fiore natural leather.

What are the engine, performance, and specifications of the Ghibli?

In the hybrid guise, the Ghibli gets a 48-volt 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 330bhp and 450Nm. It can hit 0-100kmph in just 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 255kmph. As for the pure petrol versions, the Ghibli gets a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, Nettuno V6 engine that churns out 346bhp and 425Nm. It can go from 0-100kmph in 5.5 seconds and has a top speed of 267kmph. Lastly, the Trofeo packs in a full-fat 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 that punches out 581bhp and 730Nm. Its 0-100kmph time is claimed in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 326kmph.

Is the Ghibli a safe car?

The Maserati Ghibli has scored five stars in the Euro NCAP safety test.

What are the rivals to the Ghibli?

The Maserati Ghibli is priced between Rs. 1.20-1.99 crore (ex-showroom). It is an expensive Italian sedan with alternatives like the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and the Audi A8. You can also buy some luxurious and performance-oriented SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover Sport, BMW X6, or the Toyota Land Cruiser. Otherwise, sports coupes like the Mercedes-AMG GT and the Porsche 911 also compete against the Maserati Ghibli.
