Kia EV6

This is the fastest Korean EV available in India with a 0-100kmph time of 5.2 seconds and an ARAI-certified range of 708km.

Variants

The EV6 is available in two variant options, GT Line (RWD) and GT Line (AWD). 

Market introduction

Kia India launched the EV6 in the country on 2 May 2022.

Engine and Specification

The Kia EV6 is powered by a 77.4kWh battery pack. The RWD version generates 223bhp and 350Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to sprint from zero to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. The AWD version produces 320.5bhp and 605Nm of torque. This top-spec version is capable of sprinting from zero to 100kmph in just 5.2 seconds. Both the variants get an automatic transmission. The EV6 offers three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, to suit individual driving needs.

Exterior

The EV6 measures 4,695mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,550mm in height, while the wheelbase is rated at 2,900mm. The vehicle is available in five colour options, including Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, and Yacht Blue. The EV6 gets sleek LED headlamps with DRLs flanked by two strong lines on the bonnet that taper down to the grille.

The side profile is highlighted by a coupe-like roofline, flush-fitting door handles, and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. To complement the overall aggressive styling element, the Kia EV6 gets wrap-around LED tail lights with an LED light bar running the length of the boot lid.

Interior

As for the interior, the vehicle gets premium upholstery, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a large 12.3-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system. For convenience, the EV6 offers ventilated front seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charger, rotary dial with shift-by-wire technology, electric sunroof, electric parking brake with auto-hold function, and more.

The Kia EV6 can accommodate five passengers.

Competition 

The Kia EV6 does not have a direct rival in the Indian market; however, the BMW i4 electric sedan comes close in terms of pricing.
