Volkswagen’s upcoming Tayron SUV has been spotted testing again, revealing fresh design cues ahead of its global debut.

Volkswagen's upcoming SUV, the Tayron, was spotted during tests only to indicate preparations for the global launch. The newest set of pictures show the vehicle being heavily camouflaged, yet some design elements and proportions can still be identified. Expected to sit higher than the Tiguan, the Tayron will likely present a more premium offering to the customer who desires style, technology, and a bit of performance.

The camouflage may do an excellent job concealing details, but the shadowed silhouette assures us that the Tayron has a muscular stance, sloped roofline, and generous wheel arches. The front fascia is probably sporting that iconic VW grille flanked by piercing LED headlamps. At the rear, it appears influenced by the brand's latest lineup of SUVs, with LEDs connected tail lamps and a neat and modern bumper layout. Larger alloy wheels and an increase in ground clearance promise basic SUV capabilities.

Expected Interior and Features

The inner details are still kept under wraps, however, reports state that the Tayron could share the cabin layout with Volkswagen's newer models. It is to be expected to have fully digital driver displays and a huge infotainment screen, along with premium upholstery and cruise adaptive safety. Safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and multiple airbags would be present altogether in the package.

Engine and Launch Timeline

Under the hood, the Tayron is speculated to bring turbo-petrol and diesel engines, with the possibility of plug-in hybrid options for a few select markets. The model is expected to go global in the forthcoming months, immediately followed by its market releases. Still, it remains to be confirmed whether it makes its way to India, but considering the rising demand for SUVs, it would very well be an apt contender.
