When was the BYD Seal launched?

BYD India launched the Seal electric sedan in the country on 5 March, 2024.

What variants does the Seal get?

Customers can choose the Seal from three variants, namely Dynamic, Premium, and Performance.

What features are available in the BYD Seal?

In terms of dimensions, the sedan measures 4,800mm in length, 1,875mm in width, 1,460mm in height, and the wheelbase stands at 2,920mm. In terms of design, the Seal adapts to the Ocean X concept and follows BYD’s ‘ocean aesthetics’ design language. At the front, it gets double-U floating LED headlamps and arrow-shaped inserts on the front bumper and fender. At the rear, it sports an LED light bar that runs across the tailgate, LED taillamps, and a black diffuser. The sedan rides on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the Seal has been fitted with a rotating 15.6-inch infotainment display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, heads-up display, and a 360-degree camera. It also gets features such as wireless charging, powered and ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable AC vents, and an ADAS safety suite.

What are the battery pack, powertrain, and specifications of the Seal?

BYD offers the Seal in two battery pack options – 61.44kWh and 82.56kWh. While the former comes only with the Dynamic variant, the latter can be had with the Premium and the Performance variant. Now, talking about its claimed driving range, the Dynamic, Premium, and Performace variants get a claimed range of up to 510km, 650km, and 580km, respectively. The Seal is capable of charging at speeds of up to 150kW. Using this, the electric sedan can be charged from 10-80 per cent in just 37 minutes.
